19th Annual Meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers

- 2005 CMSC Annual Conference
The annual meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) took place this year in Orlando, Florida from June 1 to June 5. The conference represented a collaborative effort by the CMSC, the International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses (IOMSN) and the Latin American Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (LACTRIMS).
The 5-day event was packed with symposia, workshops, lectures and mini-courses. More than 140 abstracts were presented during the scientific platform and poster presentations.
Awards were also presented to abstracts, organizations and individuals on the following category: - Best research data presentation
- Best patient and family education presentation - Berlex Award
- Biggest impact in advancing the care of people with MS - Scheinberg Award
- Best MS research for young scientists - Whitaker Prize
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- Excellence in MS nursing - June Halper Award
- HOPE Award for nurses
- Thumbs-Up Award
