The major discussion at the Nurses Roundtable Meeting held recently in Scottsdale, AZ focused on concerns among British certified MS nurses.  According to one of the British nurses, Nicki Ward, MSCNs were concerned that their jobs (posts) would be eliminated due to budgetary problems wtih the British Health Care System.  A discussion followed regarding how IOMSN could assist them deal with their concern.  The need to conduct research pertaining to the positive impact and value that British MSCNs had on patients/families with MS including their cost effectiveness was identified.  Subsequent to this meeting, I submitted a literature review summary of nurse/patient outcomes with together with some suggestions for conducting a study to determine the impact and value of MSCNs in the care of MS patients/families to June Halper.
