Description

Today's research clearly shows that our health is very dependent on the food we eat. Poor nutrition choices and hidden food allergies can cause inflammation in the body, which slows healing and can lead to a number of serious, chronic diseases.

Dr. Black wrote this book because many of her patients, who were trying to follow a naturopathic, anti-inflammatory diet, couldn't find any recipes to use. She prepared and tested all the recipes herself, using organic and nutrient-rich foods, eliminating common allergenic foods, and reducing the intake of pesticides and hormones - all of which help to build a stronger, healthier, healing body.

The first part of the book explains how the anti-inflammation diet works. The second part contains 125 simple and tasty recipes, from breakfasts, appetizers and herbal teas to soups, entrees, salads and delicious desserts. Most of the recipes take little time to fix, and include substitution suggestions and health tips. Sample eating plans are included for the summer and winter months, so you can try to eat what's in season.
