March is National MS Education & Awareness Month

March has been designated National MS Education & Awareness Month by the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (MSF). The primary goals of this month are to increase awareness about MS and to educate and empower those affected by the disease.

Last year, we distributed over 2,500 MS Awareness Kits and received support from local government officials accross the country. We were overwhlemed by the unthusiastic participation of individuals with MS and support groups within their communities. We were renewed by the willingness, dedication, and generosity of healthcare professionals who shared their time and expertise.

This year, with your help, we hope to make National MS Education & Awareness Month an even greater success. We would be delighted to have your organization partner with us in any or all of the following ways:

  • Promote awareness of MS within your organization by distributing educational information to patients. Call us to order MS Awareness Kits, packed with educational information for patients, caregivers and family members.
  • Wear an MS Awareness Button each day of March and tell people the significance of the button - available through the Community Relations Department of MSF.
  • If you are hosting an event during the month of March, let us know so we can post it on oir website and/or community calendar. Take a moment to introduce the MSF and its programs and services to your guests and let them know that the MSG has designated the month as National MS Education & Awareness Month.
  • Does your organization have an in-house newsletter or website? Please help us spread the word that March is National MS Education and & Awareness Month.
  • Inform your local Media about the month and the services available through the MSF.
  • Contact your mayour or other elected official and request an official proclamation for National MS Education & Awareness Month.

Let's work together to spread awareness of MS!
