About Gimbel MS Center
The Gimbel Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care Center at Holy Name Hospital represents the achievement of a dedicated team of health professionals and volunteers, many of whom have MS, who worked for five years to turn a dream into a reality. It is the only not-for-profit facility licensed by the State of New Jersey for the comprehensive treatment of multiple sclerosis. The Center opened in June, 1985. For the first time, multiple sclerosis patients from New Jersey and other Eastern areas could have all their MS treatments needs met in one location.

Objectives
The Gimbel MS Center provides health and health-related care to individuals with multiple sclerosis and their families. Its objectives are to:

• Diagnose and/or confirm the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis
• Provide medical treatment management for MS symptoms
• Promote mobility for disabled patients
• Minimize secondary complications
• Help patients maximize independence
• Assist patients and families in coping with the psychological implications of chronic disease
• Encourage patients and families to become part of the rehabilitation process
