Dear CMSC Member: The multi-faceted mission of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) includes the support of clinical care, education, research and advocacy within our broad community of MS healthcare professionals. The Board of Governors of the CMSC is pleased to announce the availability of funding for pilot research projects as a benefit of membership in the CMSC. This program was established to support opportunities for CMSC members to pursue research projects that promote the CMSC’s core value of maximizing the ability of MS healthcare professionals to impact the care of people who are affected by MS. Applications for individual projects with budgets totaling up to $40,000 will be accepted by the CMSC Research Committee. We are requesting Letters of Intent (LOIs) for research proposals related to the care and management and/or understanding of the cause of MS. These proposals will be considered for funding in the appropriate CMSC RIGS in the areas of: • Epidemiology • Psychosocial • Rehabilitation • Symptom Management • Therapeutics Please note that the deadline for submission of Letters of Intent is September 15, 2008. The background and guidelines for the submission process, as well as an application and contact information, can be obtained by visiting the CMSC website at http://www.mscare.org/cmsc/MS-Research.html. Thank you for your continued collaboration with the CMSC, and your role in Changing the Face of MS.
