Our Purpose

The CMSC recognizes the increasing importance of the internet in disseminating information to its members, MS professional, patients, and the general public. In response to the increased need for internet-based communications, the CMSC Board of Governors established the Web Site Management Team (WMT) in 1999. The WMT was formed to oversee web site development and insure that our web site reflects the goals and mission of the CMSC as a whole.

Since forming in July 1999, the WMT has established guidelines to insure that information on our web site is accurate and reliable. A key initiative of the WMT is to have all medical material peer-reviewed before appearing on our web site. This will increase the quality of our material, thus providing our visitors with information that they can trust. As a result of these efforts, the CMSC web site has achieved approval by the Health on the Net Code of Conduct organization. In addition to our peer-review process, the WMT has played a critical role in formulating our web site operating guidelines, copyright and privacy guidelines. The WMT welcomes any suggestions about how we can improve our web resources. If you have comments, complaints, or suggestions, please use our web site feedback form to send us our comments.
