 Genetics is surely a ‘hot topic’ in the MS world. From basic principles of human genetics to genetic factors related to the disease, to strategies for education and genetic counseling in MS, there is a growing body of knowledge. New discoveries sometimes make even the most current information dated. While certainly not comprehensive, please review these offerings as we set our Web Sights on Genetics, and by all means, get back to us with your comments and suggestions for expanding our resources about this dynamic and important field of study.

MS in focus, the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation’s (MSIF) biannual magazine, is available in print and online in English and online in Spanish and German. The magazine has an international cross-cultural board, accessible language and a free subscription, making it of interest to people with MS, their families and carers, healthcare professionals and support groups worldwide. Each edition looks in detail at an MS-related topic, such as fatigue, bladder problems or genetics. Issue 7 looks at rehabilitation, with articles on physiotherapy, speech and swallowing, occupational therapy, vocational rehabilitation, and the role of counselling.
MSIF is an international membership organisation of national MS societies worldwide and an NGO in official relations with the World Health Organization. Our mission is to lead the global MS movement by stimulating research into the understanding and treatment of MS and by improving the quality of life of people affected by MS. In undertaking this mission, we utilise our unique collaboration with national MS societies, health professionals, people affected by MS and the international scientific community.
