This book may be helpful for health professionals to use as resource for information on tools that may help those persons with MS with disabilities. It would be also useful for people with MS to learn very simple and practical tips for everyday life. It is well organized by topic, easy to read, clearly written and with up-to-date references which include addresses, phone, and web sites. It does not provide in depth information on some topics such as travel, computer, or office adaptations. The index will be helpful to the reader to find the information they are looking for.

Michelle has been a nurse for 29 years, with her most recent experience in health education and counseling for cancer patients in an outpatient resource center at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, MO. She is a multiple sclerosis-certified and oncology-certified nurse. She has experience teaching self-management of interferon and Copaxone therapy for MS. She has also worked for over 10 years providing patients with MS emotional and medical support by telephone, currently consulting with MSLifeLines. She has given many professional presentations about MS and has been published in 3 journals. She has been living with MS over 25 years, and has personal experience with Betaseron, Avonex, Rebif, and Novantrone therapy. She also facilitates a MS Treatment support group and volunteers as a committee member for the Long Term Care Task Force and trustee for the Gateway Chapter of the NMSS. She is a trustee for the multiple sclerosis international certification board.
