This comprehensive booklet for MS patients discusses multiple areas of concern to MS patients and families.  This booklet reviews MS, and what comprises an attack.  How to best utilize the health care system and points of consideration for participation in research studies.  Common MS symptoms and treatments are discussed in detail, in a language that is easily understood. A section on complimentary and alternative medicine describes frequently used treatments and herbal remedies that may be useful or harmful to the patient.  Psychosocial issues are discussed with a family/personal relationship focus.  A reading list is provided for those interested in other sources on MS.

This is a most informative booklet for patients and their families.  It should be recommended for reading.

About the Author:
Founded in 1988, The Rocky Mountain MS Center Guild's mission is to heighten community awareness of multiple sclerosis and to raise funds to support the many programs of the MS Center. Education is an important aspect of the Guild, helping produce the original book, "Multiple Sclerosis, The Ultimate User Friendly Guide", as well as the updated version reprinted in 2001.
